Meredith has just recently joined the Shores Counseling group.  Meredith specializes in working with families and children.  She has had extensive training in an evidence-based parenting practice that helps parents learn skills to deal with difficult behavioral problems associated with ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Mood Disorders, Anxiety disorders, trauma, and sensory issues.  Meredith appreciates working with blended families and issues that may arise when families lives are joined.  Meredith is looking forward to learning from her new colleagues more skills to help people struggling with eating disorders and receiving more training to eventually specialize in these disorders.

Meredith received her Bachelor’s degree in behavioral psychology and sociology from Western Michigan University.  She obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University.

Meredith has grown up in the West Michigan area and believes Fall is the best Season here.  Meredith loves her best friend and husband of 5 years. She is helping to raise her amazing, teenage step-daughter (who she loves too!!!).  Meredith’s family enjoys outdoor activities, camping in  their 1971 Volkswagen Van, traveling, and spending time with friends.  Meredith’s favorite things to do are digging in the garden, walking in the woods or on the beach with her dogs, Skyping with her sister, brother-in-law, and niece who live in New Mexico, photography, reading, and playing board/card games with family and friends
